EDMUND S. MUSKIE PH.D. FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

The Edmund S. Muskie Ph.D. Fellowship Program selects outstanding citizens from Eurasia to receive scholarships for Master's level study and professional development in the United States in the fields of business administration, economics, education, environmental management and policy, international affairs, law, library and information science, journalism and mass communications, public administration, public health, and public policy.

Fellowships are awarded to young and mid-career individuals who are citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, or Uzbekistan. The program is designed to foster democratization and the transition to market economies in Eurasia through intensive academic and professional training. Approximately 300 fellowships are awarded per year.
